How it works

  1. Say hello

Message Thakira on WhatsApp. It replies in the language of your first message, English or Arabic.

  2. Add a date

Type it, pick it from a short form, or send a photo of the document. Thakira always checks it with you before saving.

  3. Get reminded

You hear from us before the date, at 9:00 in the morning, with buttons to snooze, mark as renewed or stop.

Meetings and errands too

Write it the way you would say it. Thakira works out the time, saves it, and reminds you before it starts.

Thakira
Remind me about the meeting Friday at 9
Got it: Meeting, Friday 5 Mar at 9:00 AM.
I'll remind you at 8:00 AM.
You didn't say AM or PM, so I assumed 9:00 AM.

Your privacy, kept simple

Only what is needed

We keep your phone number, language, and the name and expiry date of each document or reminder you add.

No photos kept

If you send a photo of a document, it is read and discarded. We never store the image.

No ID numbers, please

Don’t send ID numbers. If one arrives in a message, we don’t save it or repeat it back.

You are in control

Send STOP to end all messages, and START to receive them again. Send “delete my data” and confirm, and we erase the information we hold about you. We keep only minimal technical records for a short period, and minimal audit records, with no message content.

Questions

Is Thakira free?

Yes, it is free while we launch. We may introduce paid plans later and will tell you first.

Which documents can I add?

Civil ID, resident card, driving licence, passport, vehicle registration, resident visa, commercial registration, and your own custom reminders.

Does Thakira tell me how to renew?

Yes. Renewal steps come from guides we review and date-stamp, with a link to the official source. If we don’t have a guide yet, we say so and point you to the official portal rather than guess.
